Home ownership or job title? Which is the bigger indicator of success?

Interestingly enough this article mentions that 57% of luxury homeowners say home ownership is a bigger indicator of their success than their job title? As a homeowner would you feel the same way? I wonder how the housing market over the years has affected this number?
