Is it a good time to buy?

If you are dreaming of a new home or moving to a new neighborhood you are probably asking, "is it a good time to buy?" One of the most popular real estate questions. Well, here is how I see it at the moment. 

This is a great time for move up buyers or new home buyers to purchase a home. We are currently in a stable and balanced market which creates great buyer opportunities including reasonable purchase prices and even seller concessions. Out-of-state buyers and investors have virtually left our market. 

In today's market you are also more likely to get a contingency offer accepted which is huge if you need to sell your home prior to buying a new home. 

The reason many of my clients are choosing to buy now vs. later is due to the rising interest rates. Mortgage payments are nearly half of what they were in 2006 and comparable to 2003, that's impressive!
